What happens to the developmentally challenged once they graduate from special schools? How does one give them the confidence to take the role of responsible adults in society with a sense of worth and purpose? Kshitij was set up in 1998 to provide such people a sheltered space in which to learn skills and crafts that could add value to their lives. Our efforts are to create employment opportunities for them and make them trained and reliable workers. Our specially designed programs help participants develop a sense of self-fulfillment and dignity. Kshitij imparts vocational training in creative skills like painting, stencil painting, block printing, etc. All our participants receive a salary for their work.
Founded by four mothers of developmentally challenged children in 1998, Kshitij has worked very hard over the years to increase awareness on how such adults can be trained to work and be independent. The parents and staff have an unshakeable commitment to ensure that each participant's endeavours attain success.
